Currently the point person for a collaboration between the University of Florida (UF) and the Anton de Kom Universiteit van Suriname (AdeKUS) he is spearheading the effort to validate medicinal properties and to identify the active molecular structures of ethno-pharmacologic drugs from the Amazon rainforest while contributing to the improvement of its environmental well being. As a scientist his interests involve environmental-health and naturopathic-medicine, physiology and toxicology, biochemistry and molecular diagnostics, pharmaceutics and ethno-pharmacology, holistic nutrition, agriculture and food engineering, drugs and forensics.

Education

Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth. But avoid all empty (vain, useless, idle) talk, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness (2 Timothy 2:15,16)
